Moisturize:

Perfume lasts longer when your skin is hydrated. It is important to moisturize your skin before applying perfume as it helps retains fragrance longer than on dry skin. To enhance the fragrance even more you can even use the body lotion of the same
scent.
Apply:
Apply perfume to the wrists, neck, Inside elbow, Base of the neck, behind the knees and behind the ears. These are the pulse points and will help the scent to last longer as Pulse points emit the most heat, allowing the perfume to diffuse out from the body.
Avoid:
Rubbing your wrists together after applying perfume – the friction and heat increases the interaction between the perfume
and skin’s natural oils and breaks down its molecules which can change the scent and evaporate into thin air.
Store:
Heat, humidity and sunlight dries the fragrance and breaks down the compound causing it to alter the notes.
Store your perfume in a cool, dark place it will last much longer. Keep it out of the bathroom, as the heat and humidity from showers could damage it.
Fact:
The base notes of a fragrance are the ones that last the longest, so fragrances with more heavy base note, such as oriental or chypre scents, have more staying power than, citrusy scents citrus notes evaporate quickly
Tip:
Apply Vaseline where you are
going spray the perfume because scent lasts longer on oily, moisturized skin.
The best time to apply perfume is
directly after your shower. Your skin will absorb the scent better.
Buy a mini size or the travel
size of you favorite perfume and Spray it few times during the day to keep the
scent.

True that. Perfumes do last longer when worn on moisturized skin but too often its tricky to find a moisturizer with similar fragrance and when two odds mix up they create disaster!
