Whether it’s to see the beautiful
garments created by your favorite designers or just to socialize, we all love
Fashion week. Running around the whole day from one show to another can be a
little taxing especially when it’s scorching hot outside, but to my delight
there was a Lipton booth available at Lakme Fashion Week this season. Lipton
has specially created a unique Mocktail menu for fashion week. The Mocktails
were all made of Lipton green tea and various other ingredients like pomegranate,
cinnamon, orange juice etc. Personally I love tea, especially when it is iced
and you have options like Tea Mojito, Green Tea and Orange Collard,  Pomegranate Mar’TEA’ni, Hot Tea Cider, and the
lovely Harvest Sangria to choose from. From models to photographers, everyone
(Including myself) was hovering near the Lipton stall to recharge and refresh
themselves in-between shows. We all know how beneficial green tea is for us!  It was good to see how one can reinvent the
conventional green tea in so many new ways.

Here are some recipes that you
can try at home to revive your green tea or just to make it when you have guests
coming over. I have tried some of the recipes below and I hope you enjoy them.

Lipton
Tea Mojito
Preparation
time: 5 Minutes
Number
of Servings:  1
Ingredients:

½ teaspoon honey

¼ Cucumber (small dice)

1 lemon (cut into 4 wedges)

4-5 Fresh Mint leaves

Crushed Ice

1 cup of Lipton Mint Burst Tea (prepared
as per instructions on pack & cooled)

Soda to top
Method:
In a tall glass, add honey, cucumber, lemon and
mint. Fill the glass half way with crushed ice and pour the cooled Lipton tea
over it. Top with chilled soda and serve with a straw.
Tip:
To ensure the lemony flavor is extracted in the recipe, first muddle the lemon
wedges and then add the rest of the ingredients.

Green Tea and Orange Collard

time:
30 minutes to prepare extract + 10 minutes to
assemble the drink
Number
of servings:
2

Method:
Preparation
of Green Tea Extract –
For preparing 375 ml of green tea
extract, Add 55 g of green tea leaves and allow it to boil. Then, simmer the
gas and leave it for half an hour to get concentrated green tea extract.
Take 100 ml of concentrated green tea extract:

Add orange juice , lemon juice and 1
drop of vanilla essence.

Blend with  250 ml cold water.

Add sugar syrup or honey to taste*

To garnish, Add 2 thin slices of a fresh
orange .

Keep it in the refrigerator for an hour
and serve cold
* Tip: Remember
that addition of sugar/honey will definitely increase the calorific content of
this lovely mocktail. It is suggested that you savor the flavour of this beverage
with the natural sweetness which is rendered by the orange juice.
